Jaimie has been singing for most of
her life and has played the Celtic harp for over four years. She began performing
Celtic music in 1998 with her first band, Seannachie, and went solo until
the formation of Gallowglass in 2000. During her solo time, she had the
privilege of performing alongside famed Scottish singer Alex Beaton at the
El Paso Celtic Festival and Highland Games in October of 1999. She earned
her bachelor's degree in Anthropology (specialized in Archaeology) in May
of 2001 from the University of Texas at El Paso. She is also a performer
of Middle Eastern dance, and an active fencer with the Society for creative
Anachronism. |
