Gryphon's Egg Productions has begun its own comedy troupe called "The Impaled Goats in Heat". Likened to groups like Monty Python and Flight of the Conchords, The Impaled Goats specialize in comedy music, skits and videos that are outrageous. thats right the witching Hour crew is starting pre production on episode 7 which is about a photographer who comes across a group of faeries living in the wilderness. What happens next is going to have to stay a secret until the episode airs!! Starring Lovey Johnson, and a group that you have just got to see, this episode will be the best one yet!!

The Witching Hour will air every Friday night on the Las Cruces Channel in Las Cruces New Mexico at 6 PM Starting on June 18th. Chris Soular of the Las cruces Channel has graciously offered to show the show down south to all of those who were not able to see it on MY50TV in the Northern part of the state. So all you guys who think you missed out!! Think again! its coming your way now!! oh and.... Youre welcome!! LOL

The Witching Hour will air every Friday night at 1:30 am Mountain time in New Mexico on My50 TV owned by Warner Bros. . The channel is 50 and you guys need to be there. If you cant stay up that late, Tivo it or tape it. We need the ratings too so just turn your TV on adn go to bed if you dont want to watch it. It will help us in so many ways!!

The first episode to air will be Unhappy Halloween. Go check it out. You wont be disappointed!!

Nov 20/09 Grave Mistake to air on Las Cruces Channel "98"

LAS CRUCES - "Grave Mistake," a film by New Mexico film producer Shawn Darling, will premiere at midnight Saturday on the Las Cruces Channel, Comcast Cable channel 98

Written by Darling, the owner and CEO of Gryphon's Egg Productions, "Grave Mistake" is an '80s-style zombie horror film shot on location in Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, Socorro and Las Cruces.

"We really liked Las Cruces because we found great locations that gave the film the real zombie effect," Darling said in a news release.

The film was completed in May 2008 and aired at the Rio Grande Theatre in June. Darling contacted the Las Cruces Channel after hearing about a new program started that gives New Mexico producers the opportunity to showcase their independent films.

All roles have been cast and we have 2 prospective house locations for Red Sands but we wtill would like more options for houses and we also need a female in her 60's or older as our farmer's wife. Oct 5/08 2 more roles have opened up!!

2 more roles have opened up for Red Sands. Recently we have had 2 unsinged actresses bailo out of the project unannounced and they have caused us a slight delay and some grief of course but, we are recasting their roles and if you are between the ages of 18 and 25 and would like to be considered for the role of either Ramsey or Lindsay (partial nudity involved for Lindsay) please drop us a line at gryphonsegg@hotmail.com . Sept 28/08 Most roles are cast for Red Sands

Most of the roles for Red Sands are cast but we still need 9 mexican drug dealers!! We also need a farmers wife that will be a female in her 60's or so. Sept 28/08 Red Sands is back in pre-production

Red Sands had been put on the shelf for a couple of months because of some scheduling conflicts and so "Sablewood" was brought to the front burner, but now as Sablewood is in pre-production, and a very long one at that, Red Sands is back in pre-production and will be completed while we are gearing up for Sablewood. Ill keep you posted on all of the progress.

Jul 08/08 Gryphon's Egg Productions "Grave Mistake" gets National distribution!!

Maxim Media International and Brain Damage Films has picked up "Grave Mistake" for national distribution. That means that "Grave Mistake" will be distributed to all the major video chains in the entire United states!! The official release date for the film to DVD will be December 2nd. Keep and eye out for it as we will keep you udated!!

Feb 29/08 Gryphon's Egg Merging with Unnamed company to form new studio

Gryphon's Egg Productions will be merging with another unnamed company to form a new studio named "Dark August Productions. The merger is almost complete as is the new website and Itinery for the coming years. We will keep you posted and of course start re-directing you to the new website.

Sept 9/07 Film Festivals coming for "Grave Mistake"

Greetings once again. I have been editing my butt off trying to get the movie done before the festivals!! I have to finish by the end of September to submit to the Full Moon Film Festival in Arkansas and by the middle of October to get it into the halloween film fest in Houston. It is going well but there is a huge ammount of work to be done. Ill let you know how it is going. I have been shooting pickups and final scenes this week to. I must be crazy. Keep checking back and I will keep updating often!

Mar 15 Gryphon's Egg opening first southwest FX studio

Gryphon's Egg Productions is opening the first ever Southwestern based FX studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico!! Plans are coming together right now for the studio which will feature prosthetics and makeup, animatronics, puppets, creature fx and many more things as well as a digital fx department. Keep a lookout as "Open Casket" will be changing it's name to "Dreams by Design"in the near future!!

Yes we are changing the name of "Dead Meat" to "Grave Mistake". There are a number of films already titled "Dead Meat" and to avoid confusion and possible legal issues, we are changing the name. The name is more appropriate to the story as well and has a more original ring to it too. Make sure and tell all of your friends about the change so that our original buzz is still kept going strong!!

There are some new pictures on the "Dead Meat" site. In the Production section and the pre-production section. Some new cast photos as well and more of those will be going up today too. Check it out!!

That's right! The Open Casket FX store is now open. You can go there and look at all of the masks, prosps, and other products as well as contact us for a price quote for makeup jobs for film or anything else.

The shoot this weekend was a blast. Aside from almost breaking my foot. Everyone worked very hard and did a fantastic job. The footage looks great as well. I have done a rough edit for any of you interested in seeing your handywork. I look forward to our next shoot with much excitement.

The official first trailer for the Gryphon's Egg Production "Dead Meat" is up and running on the Dead Meat Site. It is also on Youtube and a few other places around the net as well. We are going to be filming our Cemetery scene this weekend too on the 27th and 28th in Rio Rancho, NM.

The first trailer forthe film "Ghosts" starring David Edwards, Jaimie Darling, Rain Sullivan, and Seth Darling is up on the website. I have worked with David Lionbarger on the voice and some of the concept for the last couple of days and now it is ready for viewing by the public. If you watch it, please write in and tell us what you think of it. Also, tell as many people about it as you can. We won't mind. Go check it out!!

The storyof the movie "Dead Meat" is set in the New Mexico desert area and it's beautiful vistas. This one is sure to be an action packed movie as well as a makeup extravaganza . That's right. Gryphon's Egg Productions has relocated to the Southwestern city of Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Just North of Albuquerque. Our reason is simple. There are better opportunities for our families, and for our business. We also will have a much wider audience based on our ability to network at a more effecient level. Our move is now complete and we are setting up. We already have work flooding through the doors and have a few new projects on the horizon as well. A mysterious and wonderful show of magic, illusion, fire juggling and more. We are in the process of building the show which is near completion. Everything is going well. bit of editingleft.Jaimie Darling will be returning as her role of Sybil Addams as well as Dave Edwards as Father Edwards, Rain Sullivan as Kristina Karloff, and Jon 'Bela' Wall as Detective Calahan. We are introducing afew new characters and actors as well such as Chad (a returning character) but played by the uncomparable Brandon Brown of Lo Fi Productions, The godlike Mike Cook as the evil and disgusting new character 'Lenny', nephew of Mrs. Odonnell, as well as Seth Darling as Chip.
